FabFilter releases Pro-C 3 compressor plug-in

FabFilter has released Pro-C 3, a new version of their compressor focused on broader tone shaping and modern workflows. The update introduces six new compression styles, a Character panel for analog-style saturation and drift, and a redesigned interface. It also features multi-instance support directly in the pro Q-4.

• Character modes for saturation: Tube, Diode, Bright, with pre/post compression routing.
• Sidechain EQ expanded to six bands with more filter shapes and brickwall LP/HP options.
• Immersive surround support up to Dolby Atmos 9.1.6 with automatic routing.
• Host sync triggering and Auto Threshold for consistent gain reduction across changing levels.
• Oversampling up to 32x and an updated preset browser with tagging.

Favorite Features

I’m extremely excited about upwards compression and the TTM! This bring with them new colors that vastly expand what the Pro C 3 can do. I also am very excited for the sidechain improvements! Pumping and midi triggers make it much easier to work with in my situations!
